The lesson is divided into four parts-
In part one, students will watch AND listen to a video of an orchestra playing. There is no narrator, so watching the video is as important as listening to it. They will write down ten things they see on the screen.
In part two, students will watch and listen to a video about dynamics and answer 10 questions.
In part three, students will listen to audio of two middle school choirs who use dynamics incredibly well, and they will write paragraphs about what they hear and how it makes them feel.
In part four, students will reflect on their chorus/orchestra/band class and how well they use dynamics in their songs.
More sub plans are coming in my TpT store. Look for bundles of sub plans in the summer of 2024.
