I am loving my new teaching journey on Outschool! I have been teaching my sight singing curriculum S-Cubed Sight Singing Program on the platform sing late last fall. I've reached learners from South Carolina to Australia so far.
I just created a new one-on-one offering through the Outschool platform that is intended to help students prepare for upcoming auditions for musical theater and for "straight plays". It's a session for students aged 12-18 who are self-motivated and self-driven and who love "live" theater. It can be a one-time session, but you can certainly sign up for multiple sessions if you find that you need/want more preparation. Ideally, the student would have a specific upcoming audition, but I am happy to accept students who are actively gathering materials for auditions in the future. The student should have some idea of what audition piece/monologue they'd like to use, and they would bring that to the session. After working with the student, I may suggest other materials that might work well for the student. It the student is singing, having an instrumental accompaniment track would be super helpful! My aim is to help build confidence and to help the student with approaches to the material both stylistically and technically that will help them deliver the best audition possible for the student!
