The themes in Matilda the Musical can teach your students many positive character traits. From empowerment and courage to family and belonging to Good vs. Evil, this show is a great one to watch and study with your upper elementary and middle school students. Doing so can help your students be kinder, smarter and feel a sense of support and friendship as you work through the activities once you've watched the movie.
What do you get?
1). 20 questions with answer key
2). 5 extension activities from role-playing, making collages, family tree projects, debates, and journaling, you'll get several ideas to help you expand on the positive themes of this show in ways that will resonate with your students and help you connect to them more fully.
This lesson can take up to 2 weeks including watching the movie if you do all of the extension activities.
